Passersby will undoubtedly take notice of the bright yellow back wall, adorned with an collection of familiar celebrity faces that make up Eyetique's ad campaign and a giant ad graced with a pair of Norman Childs' "Sassy Sally" sunglasses hangs next to them. The mirror-covered walls illuminate the store and allow shoppers a perfect view to check out their newly purchased frames.
"The layout and construction of our sixth store was easy to visualize," says Norman Childs, owner and founder of Eyetique. "This store is almost an exact replica of our Shadyside location on Walnut Street. Knowing that, we managed to have this store up and running quickly and smoothly."
The tiny, narrow corridor houses a fresh and exciting variety of eyewear. From the rhinestone patterned Ed Hardy shades to the sleek and sophisticated Vera Wang collection to the sporty and fun Oakleys—this new Eyetique store leaves little to the imagination.
"With the success of our other five stores, it seemed like an obvious choice to pick SouthSide Works as our newest home. The location is young, hip and current, and we hope to attract an even broader clientele with this store," Childs says.
Due to its size, the SouthSide Works Eyetique does not offer in-house eye examinations but does consistently offer the same high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
"We want our clients to feel important and taken care of at all times," Childs says. "And our expert staff of opticians will do their absolute best to accommodate the needs of anyone who enters our Eyetique store, because at Eyetique, customer satisfaction is an absolute must."
